You should be able to get adequate recording quality (all though not maxed
out settings) with this configuration. I have an AIW Radeon 32 MB in a
Pentium III 700 MHz machine with 256 MB Ram and Win 98SE and it records and
plays back fine. Are you having problems with your setup and if so, what?

Thanks Paul,
No need to upgrades to newer ATI, Microsoft softwares with the above hardware, eventually !
Creative drivers are the one provided with Windows 2000.
Several attempts brought to upgrade (WindowsXP's, later Creative stuff, mmc xxx,...)
and leadn't to faster recording: on the contrary. TV-shifts have sound jerking
forward while recording and playing.
This is why I guess radeon's core and Win2000 multimedia functions are enough to mmc.

I made that post as a reminder and so to help people.
Hope it helps :-)
Bye, Laurent

ATIs MMC doesn't like being upgraded! The proper way to do it is uninstall
all traces of the "old" version, reboot the machine and only then install
the newer version. If you attempt to install a newer version while an older
version is present on the system, it may cause instability. If you're really
keen and you've already done a few of these upgrades and had the machine
some time since the last fresh install, you'd probably find a fresh install
makes a big difference to performance and stability.
