My article in PC Extreme. (updated)

I've written an article for PC Extreme magazine. It's on how to make a remote control for WinAmp that plugs into your serial port.

Might be worth a look if your in WH Smith, its on page 66 - 67.

:D

Excellent work Matt! I'm going to try and get a copy tonight :)

Couldn't find the mag yesterday... is it in most large newsagents?

Alright!

Picked up a copy from W.H.Smiths in Woolwich on Saturday.

Good article Matt, I love things like that, makes me wanna whip out the soldering iron :D

It's a good mag as well, a welcome breath of fresh air from all the staid journals that assume either everybody is a newbie or a coding expert. Articles I can relate to :)

And I trust they paid you the going NUJ rates for your contribution? ;)

Thanks! :D

LOL, I have no idea about rates since is the first time i've been paid for any of my writing .

Just got my next article submitted, its an easy to build LED bargraph that plugs into the parallel port and displays either CPU Load %, Free Allocated Memory %, Physical Disk Activity % or just a cool Knight Rider Effect all in real time.

I've got a small quanitity of this free time stuff recently so don't think 've forgotten you all, got a software review and the first in a series of 'Electronics 101' articles.

Okay the issue of PC Extreme with the Bargraph guide is out now. It ended up costing less than £2.50 to build :eeek: :D

Just sumbitted the next one, so i have some free time on my hands to write some more PC Review articles :D
