After having extracted a hijacker from my computer, I still have the files
that were installed and also the email address to which the program
communicated.

The hijacking program created an internet connection that I deleted and
haven't been able to find [I guess those don't go to the recycle bin] along
with scheduled events to take place and some "Favorites" shortcuts.

Is there a place/organization that would be interested in receiving this
information or these files? I would love to turn them in for prosecution if
that were at all possible.

Thanks,

I would not be surprised if yours was not the first PC to be affected.

Anyone who has developed a tool or ammended their Malaware / Spyware Removal
application is going to be way ahead of you.

Don't get worried about reporting the problem; you'd be at the end aof a
long queue.

I wouldn't be surprised either; but what I would expect by now, would be a
task force that accepts information and follows up. I'm surprised that
countries are dragging their feet in this regard. There's no point
expounding, I'm sure it's all been said, but if numbskull can blow billions
in Iraq... of course, doesn't say much for the American people, they had
their chance.

The Dept of Homeland Security does in fact have many such efforts. See:
