I've tried to file an incident with Microsoft Online
Assisted Support for the past five hours. I keep getting
this message after the form is correctly filled out:

We could not send your incident information because of a system or
network error. Please try again in a few minutes.

There is no system or network error from my end. Would
one of the MVPs happen to have a connection with Microsoft
which would result in breaking that bottleneck?

Bill,

Perhaps you would be best off phoning Microsoft's support numbers?

Also, as we've learned, you have OEM XP. I suspect that Microsoft, in
the end, may not assist. I'm saying this without knowing the nature of
your problem, but thought would mention anyway.

Hope this is useful to you. Let us know.

Thanks, Rob. As for phoning their support numbers, it's
partly a matter of economics, and partly a matter of principle.
The issue at the moment is that the sopport site is not functional.
The message as stated is clear; I don't think they'd send a
message which was not actually truthful (e.g., they don't
mant to service the Microsoft-issued Plus! on an OEM machine).
I'll keep trying to get past their alleged "system or network
error".
Bill L.
