Hi

Regarding the various questions that I have placed in this group and just
been given a link to other pages that I have already read.
Strange that the assistance from the MVP in this group has gone from great
to simply mediocre.
I think that most of the people requesting help have at least taken the time
to read the links offered by spiderwoman and her pages as well as those of
Interlaken and Microsoft.
The answers are incomplete and the inset points of some of the script do not
work as they should.
Could the hyperlinked answers please be more descriptive and complete or is
this just to much to ask.
However If the solution is not evident then some direct attention should be
offered as this is why people bother to come and read this newsgroup.
The actual attitude of some MVP's has become evident in some of their snide
remarks that are passed on their responses.

Thanks to all those of you that bother to help us less literate in the
language that is needed to operate this package.

Regret having purchased this product simply for the attitude of the MVP's

Not impressed.

Hi Chris,
Could you tell me which MVPs and/or which posts?

Well Chris,
I just sorted the last 1,144 posts to this newsgroup by name, and read every post you've made and every response.
imho, given the information you provided in each post, which was scant by any means, considering what you're trying to
do,
the answers you received were as informative as your questions.

If you want better answers..... ask better questions and provide a little more information.

Also to be perfectly honest, your questions are better asked in a mobile devices group since you're trying to interact
with cell phones and mobile devices.

Regards

Chris,
Having been around this newsgroup for almost a decade now I can saw
that a very, very good percentage of people that come here don't actually
search first for an answer, like the people who have a server error from
their host but won't contact their host about it and expect it to be fixed
here. Many of the problems here can be solved by perusing a search engine,
which can be frustrating. Also, many problems get asked repeatedly, and
sometimes every few hours because the people aren't searching for a similar
issue (or even looking for their last post which has already been replied to
with a meaningful response). I think part of that is due to the number of
people who are actually not coming to the newsgroup direct but are instead
using a web-interface instead (most notably the one on the MS site) and only
seeing a few messages on a page and not having the proper results returned
to them when they attempt to run a search.

Keep in mind, most of the MVP's are now juggling more than FP. Since
Expression Web has come along it's made things a lot more difficult as now
there are two products, one the successor that has removed some of the
previous features that were heavily relied on. Much of the time and effort
has been learning this new product and figuring out what the issues are and
how to overcome them, which isn't leaving as much time for the FP newsgroup
as many would like to invest. While that's not an excuse, it does help to
understand why people who are trying to help out in both NG's get frustrated
sometimes.

To add to what Steve said, the MVPs are NOT paid Microsoft Employees. They
are volunteers that give their own time to answer these questions. They
answer them the best they can given the amount of information in the
question. Every day there are hundreds of questions that don't provide
enough information for anyone to give a more descriptive answer. In my
opinion the MVPs are doing a great job in trying to help as many people as
they can. Note the many, many replies from posters indicating that the
reply they received worked just fine and thanking the person (MVP or not)
that replied to the question.

As Steve said, maybe it's the format of your questions. See
http://www.frontpagemvps.com/FrontPageNewsGroups/tabid/53/Default.aspx on
how to get the best answers to your questions.

Chris,
I have used this NG for many years now and have ALWAYS found the MVPs to be
extremely helpful in fact I would like to take this opportunity to thank
them ALL for giving thier own time voluntarily to help those less qualified
than themselves, as would all other users of this Newsgroup.
I strongly feel that your criticism was totally unjustified and in bad
taste.
