Muted Audio

I can't unmute the source video dropped in the storyboard. Nothing
complicated here , but the audio option on the clips menu has a check mark in
Mute that I can't remove. many options are not available from this menu. Is
that normal? Please help.

What file type is this? It could be that it is not compatible with movie
maker.

It's a standard .mpg file. I didn't use movie maker to capture it though.

I have never seen this particular issue with MPG files but it doesn't
surprise me.
MPG files cause all kinds of undesired effects in Movie Maker at different
points so it is likely that the cause of your problem is the MPG. Convert it
to AVI and try that file.

I've seen it often. When converting, if you choose avi make sure you pick
the dv.avi option, do not convert to say divx. If you are unsure, I'd say
convert to wmv.
