MUSTEK SCANNER SOFTWARE INSTALLATION PROBLEM

After installing scanner software the XP wizard says that it is not there and
I cannot use scanner. What can I do?
 
Yes I did get and it still did not work. For some reason the installation
program keeps saying that the software is not there but it is. It refers to
it as USB not mustak or 1200cu bearpaw software. Any more thoughts?

i have had simmiler probs on other things in the past... my turned out to be
ok if i used the usb ports on the back of the mainboard...and not the usb
pci card or the external hub or even the usb on the front of the comp..

dont know why its just one of those things
