Just recently, my PC has decided it will not post unless I first cycle
the power on the P/S (turn the P/S switch on/off, or
disconnect/reconnect power cord). Any ideas?

Won't POST or won't start at all?

If you mess with a PSU and _it_ cuts the power (maybe through overheat or
over-current etc) it will latch in the off position until you pull power.
Maybe it is not shutting off correctly, or this circuitry has a problem.

Power Supply is probably bad..
If the mobo has lights on it that are normally lit while the pc is off (like
to say that it's getting the +5vsb signal) then check and see if that's on..

It's possible that somethings causing the 5vVSB line in the psu to go out of
spec and when you shut it all down then that's restarted and problem isnt
there.

If you can simply start, shut down, and have it not work then I would
disconnect all drives and motherboard connections, use a wire to make the
psu cut on, leave it on for a short while (20/30 seconds) and then remove
the wire and see if putting the wire back causes it to restart..

Thanks. I'll give that a try. Just for the record, yes all the lights
come on when I turn on the computer. It just won't post (no video
activity either) until I pull the plug and turn it on again.
