Must I renew all drivers for my notebook by installing windows vis

If I want to install Windows Vista Home Premium with an express-upgrade, is
it necessary to download really all drivers for example for the touch-pad,
for my NVIDIA Go7600 grafic chip, for my soundcard, for all these hardwares?
Or does it also work without renewing the drivers? I have read so many
different kinds of driver updating processes, so that I don't know what I
have to do. Is there a description included with the Upgrade, which tells me
what to do?? - I've also read, that windows blockades hardware if it isn't
updated with the new drivers until a definited time.
Would help me a lot, if somebody can give me useful answers to my questions.

If you want your devices to work, yeah you will need drivers. Some may be
in Vista but it would be unwise to count on that.
