Mr Bean

I'm observing lately some slight problems with a mouse PS2.

If not used for a while, initially seems to be frozen for 1-2 seconds
and than runs normally.

It happens on different machines and different mices. XP.

Any idea?

TIA

There are many things that can contribute to this problem. I will list
some simple solutions and hope it will get rid of that problem for
you.

1. Add more memory to your system.
2. Empty the temporary Internet Files and degrag your hard drive
3. Reinstall your mouse drivers because it could be corrupted
4. Check your device manager to see if there are any hardware conflicts

IMHO, I would just go out and purchase a new mouse since they are
relatively cheap anyways. Go with an USB optical mouse for best
performance.

It might not be the mouse. It could be that your system is set to begin
turning off devices after they haven't been in use for a while. Check your
power settings and see if that's the case.
