Can someone tell me what the differance between the MusicMatch Jutebox and Window Media Player. I have both on my system and I am trying to decide if I need both. The only one I mainly use (only because I dont beleive that I have ever tried MM Jutebox) is Windows Media Player. Any suggestions would be helpful.
Thanx

I use MusicMatch (full version) and would not use the Windows Media Player.
I have used the Media Player but due to the number of post of problems, I
don't use for serious work. MMatch will do everything + more. But the Media
players problems are probably due to the users not knowing how to use it.
Learn both and you decide. I have not had any problems with either.

.
I use the Media player because it seems easier to use.
But some things you do on the web, say to listen to a
song, will automatically use the musicmatch system. So
keep both accessable to your system. But I find the
Media player much easier to use. Make sure you have the
most updated one.

I use media player and have had no problems with it.I use it for backing up cd's and creating new ones, watching live webcasts and dvd's.It has served me well.

Neither are very good. I prefer RealPlayer 10 to those two. Other software to
consider is QCD Player. http://www.quinnware.com/ and J. River Media Center

I am having problems with MusicMatch Jukebox Plus 8.2.
During CD playback, each track is distorted for about 10
seconds, then it runs fine, until the beginning of the
next track, then distortion for 10 seconds or so......and
so on....

I have been emailing with the support dept of MusicMatch
since November 2003. They are worthless. It takes weeks
for them to respond (forget the 48 hour response time
they claim).

They have advised me to "delete," reinstall, delete,
reinstall an earlier version (8.1). I have had it. I gave
the support one more shot.......I am ready to can the
whole program.

I have no problem with Window Media
Player......everything works fine.
