If I should ask this somewhere else, just tell me where.

To play music stored on my Music folder, I used to just click on the
song and MusicMatch played it. Now, for some reason, it doesn't play.
The song doesn't show up on the playlist, and MusicMatch just sits
there. I can make the music play on Windows Media Player, but not
MusicMatch.
I also can't find the place to make Media Player the default player.
Thanks.

Can't tell by reading your message just what is going wrong for you. I
just converted a Win98SE system to WinXP SP2 Home and had MusicMatch
7.20.0162 installed on the Win98SE system. The product still plays music
under WinXP without doing anything special.

If I click on My Library, I get a list of songs stored on my hard drive
and clicking on any of them starts the song. If I go to File on the
menubar and open a song, it gets entered into the Play List and will
play if clicked on.

Could you be more precise as to exactly what you are doing when you try
to play a sound file?

Hi. .in order to make Music match the default player for your music, simply
go to one of your music files, right click, choose open with.. then choose
program.. browser to where you have your music match program on your hard
drive, make sure that there is a check mark in always use the selected
program to open this kind of file. You might have to use your shift key at
the same time you right click to get to open with.. If you have several
music files, all different, like mp3's, midis, and or wavs, you will have to
do the same thing with each of the file types.. I hope I have helped.. Rainy

You can open Media Player | Tools | Options and use the File Types to set
what you want as default actions on File Types for Media Player to handle.

The safest bet, is to unassociated all, select whatever you want, and
re-set.
