The plus version is great but the free version is too limited.
Burning in the free version is painfully slow.

I would not recommend the free version to any one.

Yes, the free version is very slow as a BURNER, but as a music organizer, I
think it is just fine. And in my opinion, it's one of the best music
organizers out there, though it does eat up more hard drive space than just
about any other organizer out there.

On the other hand, if you are asking about the music purchasing services, I
don't know. I have never used the free version to download music, Though I
assume it would be the height of insanity to make it more difficult for
those who don't upgrade, but still want to buy music from them. But I've
thought wrong before on this sort of thing.

I use MMJB for purchasing music downloads, organizing my digital music and
burning CDs, but a friend at work uses both it and iTunes. He prefers
iTunes, but he is an iPod user, where I normally burn to an audio disk. I
only make relatively low quality mp3's to load into my Palm Pilot, I figure
FM radio quality is good enough.
