Hi yes more help please :-)

I have created my movie and also saved a music track of CD using Media
Player 9 then imported the music into MM2.

I have added this to my movie ok.

What I would like to know is it possible to edit the music? ie cut bits of
it out?

Once more thanks in advance

Simon

You can split a clip on the timeline into as many smaller clips as you want,
and then mute or lower the volume of those you don't want to hear.

Hi there,

Yes you can edit the music and cut pieces out as well as cross fade etc.
Assuming that the audio track is on the lower audio section of the
timeline. Simply left click the audio track, position the cursor at the
place where you want to cut is and then using the cut option (on far right
of timeline) give it some grief :) If you cut it in the wrong place simply
press and hold the Ctrl Key and then press Z that will undo your last
action.

To fade from one track to the next (assuming we are working on the lower
audio track and that you have two or more audio clips on the track) Drag
the second clip over the end of the first clip. The is best done whilst
fully zoomed in on the timeline by the way. Move the second clip to the
left until it overlaps the first clip by the required amount. When saved as
a final file you get a very nice fade from the first to the second clip,
and as I learned the other day, if you right click the first audio track
and select MUTE, you then have the ability to control how quickly the fade
into the second clip is, and in a similar fashion you can regulate the fade
out to silence
