I'm doing a video slideshow with music, and I have two songs playing in
different parts of the video. When I first started it, the two songs
sort of blended as one faded out, and the other in. It was a nice
transition. Now, and I'm not sure what I did, they no longer blend. One
stops and the other starts. Even if I select fades in and out, there's a
clear demarcation as to where the first ends, and the second begins.
That wasn't the case before.

How do I get that audio blend effect back?

It sounds like you want a "fade transition" instead of
a "fade in" or "fade out" for the particular audio
clips. From your Tools bar, select "video transitions".
Click and drag the "fade" transition to the timeline view
and place the transition between the video/audio clips
you are interested in. In the timeline view, the
transition will now show up in the Transition horizontal
timeline. You can click on the transition and adjust the
length of the transition to make the fade transition
longer or shorter. Note that both the video and audio
will fade during the transition between the two clips.

Hope this is helpful.

I think I'm trying what you're suggesting, but if so, it doesn't work
the way I'd like it to. The effect I'm talking about was that you could
hear both music tracks simultaneously during the transition. That's not
happening here.

That said, can you explain what you mean by "clips"? I'm using
individual images, and using transitions between them. Is there more to
it than that?
