Hello,

I know how to place music in pages on my website, but when visitors go to a
different section, the music stops.

Is there a way to keep the same music playing even if the visitor goes to
another area of my website?

Thanks for info

This is not an answer to your question, but are you sure you want to do
that? Most people find it annoying, since they often are playing their own
music, listening to the radio, talking on the phone, etc., while surfing the
web.

Just a thought! :-)

Hi Bert,

One way to do it is to build your site in frames. (Doing that however comes
with a new set of problems if search engine spidering and listings are
important to you)

In the Frame-Set page is where you would have the music..and as people
navigated it would stay continuous.

The best option would be to load the music in a popup window.

This means that the visitor has to choose to play the music, I assume ?

Which overcomes the problem of the music annoying those who don't want it.

On my site, I have music (quite pleasant) which plays once by default, but I
have not yet found how to put in a button to stop it. On my PC, it plays
with RealPlayer, so there is an interface with a stop button, but I would
prefer a separate button to do this. Past suggetsions on this newsgroup have
not worked

Yes, the user would have to choose, since many user run popup blocker, loading it on page load would
not be reliable.
