Music Recording problem

Hi I was using the recorder on my MP3 player to get a few recordings. Now
that I have it on my computer, It won't play (didn't do anything on my mp3
player either) but the file format is different (ACT) what do I do so I can
listen to my recordings I have to have this project done in a few days.
