Can somebody explain in plain english how to embed or link
or attach a .wav file?

I already used the process of inserting but it shows a
speaker in the center of he page. If I click on it, it
plays with the presentation but if I send it to someone,
they can see the speaker on it but the sound is nowhere to
be heard. I read someone's question and answer before.
He or she was directed to:

http://www.rdpslides.com/pptfaq/FAQ00155.htm

However, I left that page and its links more confused that
before.

Can somebody help?
Thanks

Dear User,

Suppose your wav file size is 198 kb , go to Tools>General > Increase the
value of sound file link size in "Link sounds with file size greater
than"... OK.
Now, you can insert your wav file which will be embedded.

1. Go to Tools > Options > General and set the "Link sounds with file size
greater than" to 50000. That will allow your WAVs to be as large as 50 MB.
This will apply for new files. It is not retroactive, so if your WAV was
previously inserted you need to delete it.
2. Now insert your WAV file using Insert > Movies and Sounds > Sound from File.
Set it to play automatically, etc.

To test that a sound file is embedded and will work on another system when it is
emailed, close PowerPoint and locate the WAV file you pointed to when you
inserted it. Rename it - - for example, rename happy.wav to happy1.wav or
happy.old.
Now open your presentation and play the show. If the music plays, you know that
it is safely embedded in the presentation file.

for your reply.
