I just picked up a small music player (irock 530) that has a USB connector.
It didn't come with the USB cable, however.

The connector is very tiny and I haven't been able to get a connector or an
adapter.

First, if there is a better newsgroup for this problem, let me know.

I would like to know where I can get a connector (with or without a cable
havng a standard USB connector on the other end) or the pin connections for
the connector on the device so I can solder a cable to it.

Thanks for any help.

In the picture here, it comes with ear buds, a CDROM, and a USB cable.
The USB cable looks pretty ordinary, a Type A to Type B. I cannot see
a good picture of the side of the player device.

From the article about USB on wikipedia, you can get a picture of
the connector types. I cannot be sure this is a simple Type A (computer)
to Type B (peripheral) cable. It could be some other kind of peripheral
connector. You should be able to figure this out pretty quickly. Compare
this to your player.

-------------------------------

I have plenty of A's and B's.

The face of connector on the 530 measures 3/16" by 3/16".
