Try putting the presentation and the sound files in a folder on your C
drive. Name it Test. So you have C:\test -- put everything in there.
Then delete the existing sounds and reinsert the sounds. Do they play now?
This is a test for path length. By creating an extremely short path, we can
tell if the problem is the MCI player hitting its path-length limit of 124
(128?) characters. That could explain why some sounds play and others don't.
Post back and let us know if that doesn't work, and we'll try something
else.

Issue is when I try to insert music files as part of a presentation,
whether it be MP3, WMA, WAV etc. only some tracks seem to work. When I have
inserted a track that doesn't work, the icon appears as per usual, and I can
adjust parameters such as start & stop timing however, the track just
refuses to play. Both in the presentation and when it is double clicked in
slide edit mode.
