music - laughing ??

I sometimes here music, laughing or other things coming
from my speakers, dont know if I have a virus or what.
Any ideas?

Do you have an ICQ-type program alerting you when friends are on line?
No idea what sound they use for this purpose, but that's one
possibility.

You could go into task manager to see what's running. Ctrl-alt-del
(one time only since the objective isn't to reboot).
 
It is VERY unlikely that you are hearing odd "noises" from your speakers due
to a virus. There are many other things you should consider before blaming
the "noises" on a virus.

1)If you are using a Cordless telephone in the 900mhz range this may cause a
conversation from maybe a CLOSE BY neighbor on a cordless phone to
periodically emmit from your speakers.

2)Cellular phones can cause the same results, ESPECIALLY Nextels.

3) Possibilities are endless....Satellite.........WiFi..........2-way
radios........analog devices with lower Hz...etc..

4)Last but not least, are you completely sane?
