Split the music clip and right click /
mute or right click / delete the unwanted
portion.

Info on splitting:

Play the video/audio by clicking the
"Play" button under the view screen.

You will see the Playback Indicator
(vertical line) advancing across the
timeline.

Click the "Pause" button at the point
where you wish to split and type...
Ctrl+L or click the "Split" button at the
bottom of the view screen.
(you can also make adjustments by
dragging the Playback Indicator)

So, there is no way to physically tell it to start the music at 2:15 portion
into the song?

So there is no physical way to tell the program to begin the song at 2:15
rather than at the beginning of the song?

As I suggested...split the file at 2.14 and
left click / delete the unwanted portion.

This does not affect the original file if that
is your concern.

If the music file is included in the video clip...
drag a second copy of the video clip to the
Audio/Music track and it will function as a
separate audio file.

The audio files on the Audio/Music track can
be dragged right or left for positioning.
