music files

I cannot store or create music files (in "wave" format) from any CD
(copywrited or not). This has never been a problem before. I normally put CD
in disk drive and go to "open folder to view files". I usually then drag and
drop them wherever. I have two disk drives and have tried both. I have also
tried to move the files by navigating and had the same result. Any help out
there?

You have to "rip" the disc to create WAV files. Use CDex.
