Music files?

Every time I import some music files, for some odd reason, the time says it's
about 7:30 minutes long? I play it in windows media, and it says 3:58
minutes(correct time). Also, if I'm in the middle of making a video, and I
want to see a certain part, the music starts off somewhere else. For example,
I'm using the song Far Away, and it would play the chorus where the verse
should be. There isn't any corruptions with the music files, or any errors
either. They work perfectly with other windows programs. What am I supposed
to do to fix it?

There may be a problem with the compatibility of your source file(s), for
example if it is a mp3 audio file.
