Hey-

-Presentation works perfectly when run on creation computer/Windows
XP-HE/PP2002
-Project compiled by PowerlinkPlus with PowperpointViewer 2003 included
-I took the CD to remote computer to test and discovered my fonts were not
working right
-Embedded the TT fonts and re-reburned the CD
-Program ran from CD through PPViewer on remote computer, but now the sound
files did not play
-Program ran from CD through PPVIEWER on creation computer and, likewise the
sound files do not play
-All worked perfectly until I went in an embedded a TT Font and since then I
can't get the sound files
to play
-Went back to square one, dumped every related file except my original
directory.
-Went in and "unembedded the TT font" to see if there was a connection, then
re-re-burned.
-Even on re-burn, no sound
-Someone shoot me

Jim, you need to recreate your project in PowerLink Plus so that it can fix
the links for you. You apparently changed their location or somehow broke
the links through all of the modifications you've made.

Sonia, thanks for your input. Here's what I've done and where Im at at this
hour with no success.
1. File runs perfectly on creation machine
2. I dumped earlier created directories and files except the original
directory which contains the .ppt file
and .mp3's
3. I uninstalled PowerLinkPlus
4. I reinstalled PowerLinkPlus
5. I recreated the PowerLink program with no problems, no errors on report
6. I reburned to a blank CD-RW
7. File runs through PPViewer 2003 , but still without sound, on new CD,
i.e., problem remains
8. I'm at a loss

Thanks,
Jim Varner

I'm assuming that this happens when run on your system and on other systems?
Try opening the Viewer (on the CD) and from there, open the presentation
file on the CD. In other words, don't let it autorun. Does the sound play?
Then open PowerPoint and open the version of the presentation on the CD.
Does it play?

Just to confirm something you said in your original post - - you are running
PowerPoint 2002, correct? I could explain the problem and offer a solution
if the presentation was created in PowerPoint 2000 or 97.

Sonia: >Yes to the both systems....
Opening the Viewer on the CD and the presentation on the CD= no go
Opening PowerPoint and the presentation on the CD=no go
Opening PowerPoint and the presentation in the directory created by PowerlinkPlus=no go
Opening Powerpoint and the presentation in the original directory=good to go
And as for the last question......uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh......when
you ask the question that way (I began this presentation a long time ago and
put it on the back burner awaiting the new PowerPoint Viewer since I needed
to share it with a number of people) I actually BEGAN creating the
presentation on my old machine with PowerPoint97, and FINISHED it on my new
machine with Powerpoint 2002 (did I hear you say ah ha?). Sorry, I had
forgotton that.

Jim

No. If you've saved the presentation in PowerPoint 2002, the bug in the
Viewer is supposed to "go away". We should take this offline (email)
because I would like to have a look at both versions of the presentation.
Please send me an email and let me know how large they each are and we can
discuss how I can either get a copy of them, or a meaningful extract of
each. I'll be traveling for the holiday soon, but I'll try to look at it
this weekend if possible.
