Music file editing and mixing

For a Valentines surprise to my sweetheart I would like to make a music
medley using short pieces from a number of different songs that are special
to us. Anyone know of a program that can help me cut and paste sections of
wma and mp3 files together? Thank you.

Audacity Suitable for the home user simply doing audio editing. Audacity
will open only a small variety of audio formats, but this includes WAV
files and mp3s. The basics such as cut, paste, spit and copy are all there,
along with a few simple effects such as echo, fade and amplify. All in all,
a very tidy little audio editor that stands out from the rest by being easy
to use - and free. Audacity has been reported to not work with Norton
Protected Recycle Bin. Audacity does not run on Windows 95. Windows 98 or

I once had to mix several tracks together. DDclip Lite was just the tool I
needed.
