Is thier anything in the freeware realm that will allow me to
remix/remaster mp3's
So I can enhance bass, vocals, etc redo remaster it for my personal
use. that will work with some freeware mp3 ripper/burner

No. The MP3 is one track with bass, percussion, vocals, and
instruments all in one stream. You would need the 'master' tracks to
do what you require.

Try Audacity. It's a general-purpose audio editor.
I've used it to do audio editing for my band.
