music and downloading

I have downloaded several different P2P programs; Limewire, MP3 Rocket, ect.
But for some reason, none of them will open for me. All are allowed through
my firewalls. Can anyone help?

I would love to have the answer to this as well. I have been fighting with
MP3 Rocket for 4 hours now....
 
Did you get this resolved? I have 2 MP3 songs downloaded from MP3 Rocket that
show the title but will not play, nor can I delete or move the file. Only the
title remains on my systems & indicates "0" bytes. Need to know how to get it
off my system.
 
There is a definite issue wi th file sharing programs and vista i personally
believe that is a security setting issue ive spent 6 hours today trying to
figure it out.
 
Hi Did you ever get a answer I feeli like I am getting the run around, I am
having the same problem.
 
I just got the program and am having the same problem. Only after I get them
installed they wont work and my internet quits working, so I have to
uninstall them. It has been the same with all of them.
 
Have you tried using emule? Emule is generally more reliable than the others?
By the sounds of it im not switching to vista just yet.
