I created an Access 2003 database for 5 users to access the db simultaneously
throughout the company. When IT put it in one network folder, we could open
it together with no problem. Then when we had to move it to another network
folder, only one person could open it at one time. I re-checked the
following:
tools > options > advanced > shared button is clicked. Also
default record locking is on "no locks".
What could be causing this problem?
I've created many other databases at this company since 2001 without using
the front end, back end split and we have had no problems for multiusers. IT
cannot help find a solution. Please, please help...this is a critical
project.
