Multisampling on Microtek Scanner with Vuescan?

Hi Group!

I got the Microtek 120TF that I want to use with Vuescan. The problem
is that Vuescan doesn't supports the single-pass multiscan-feature:
Whenever I scan more than one time, the image looks blurred (because
of the film-holder moving out of the scanner every time). When I use
Silverfast AI that came bundled with the scanner, this works fine -
even with 16x multisampling the holder remains at its place and the
image looks great. The point is that I don't like to work with
Silverfast - the program is a pain to use. Is there any trick or any
update with vuescan that supports this feature on the Microtek 120tf?

Thanks
Peter

I got this working on the Microtek 4000tf, so I should be able to
get it to work on the 120tf. Could you e-mail me a vuescan.log file
from your system? This will give me the info I need to produce a
test version for you.

Ed, if you get this to work, do you think it could be enabled also on
the Polaroid SS120 (with latest firmware)? They should be 100%
identical...

Thanks!

Hi Ed!

Where exactly can I find the vuescan.log file?

Not Ed, but, in the same Vuescan directory/folder where the executable
resides (assuing you created a log by selecting the option for it). I assume
it is the same for all OS platforms.

Hi Ed,
Please let me know if you have a test version ready for my 120TF.
I just installed Vuescan, scanned in my film strip for the 1st time,
looks great in Vuescan, but shows negative-like when opened up the
scanned image in PS, I should read the manual, but do you have a quick
answer for me?
Also, I have problem of scanning 8700 with 4 passes (1 pass is always
okay) when I scanned the target for Profile Prism, Vuescan aborted and
I have to reboot.
Thanks
Eric

Ed, would it be of any help if I send you my log file (Polaroid
SS120)?
I'd be very interesting in multisampling... :)
