multiple XPpro on same machine

I am thinking of setting up a new hard disk with the same
XPpro CD on different partitions. Reasons for this is that
I have different needs (networking, children use, learning
about .NET) and want the different environments to be
protected from each other, for stability and performance
reasons.

I am hoping to get confirmation that for a home PC there
would not be technical, nor licencing issues I would have
to sort out. I am starting with one copy of unactivated
XPpro CD.

Please also advise any special considerations I need to
plan for. I will be connecting extra disk through firewire
connection in one of the above connections.

Thanks in advance for assistance and useful comments.

It can be achieved theortically by having few primary partions and
installing each flavour of XP on them. Having an logical drive (which is
accessable from all such flavours) will be a good idea to swap data between
them.

How ever, there is a limit for number of primary partitions. and it will be
a tedious task to maintain total system integrity for SAFE and uprunning of
all flavours.

Best thing is to use VMWare's virtual machine or just have two versions of
flavour and keep replacing any one flavour with Norton Ghost.

As a first step you have to make first partition active and install
