Is it possible to create multiple www records just like multiple mx records
with priority of 5, 10, 15, 20. Because I have multiple web servers and
would like to fail over to the next one if the high priority one is
unavailable. Normally what's the best method to enter multiple www
records(web servers) into DNS. Thanks in advance.

You can create multiple www records but you cannot assign them a priority,
Round Robin will be used to give them out. Fo ra discription of how round
robin works look in the DNS help file.

(Inferring that "www records" really means "'A' resource records":)

No.

One tool would be an intelligent IP router of some kind.

Big IP from Dell is one such tool. A couple other companies make similar
tools. I believe Microsoft's App Center will also do it.
