I have 10 worksheets per workbook. Each worksheet has the same parameters of which I would like to trend. However due to the dates in each worksheet differing (and non consecutive), the chart accepts the dates of the first worksheet as the x-axis and plots all subsequent worksheets in sequential order

For exampl

Worksheet 1 Worksheet

date, paramete
Jan 1 44 Jan 29 2
Jan 4 55 Feb 35 8

The chart would use Jan1 and Jan 4 on the x axis and plot worksheet 2 values in the first (Jan 1) and the second (Jan 4) values on the x axis

Make an XY Scatter chart instead of a Line chart. In a line chart, all
the series use the same category (X) data, but in a Scatter chart, the
series can use their own X values.

I am using Excel 2000 for this. Have done the xy scatter
chart but have the same problem. If some data comes from
3 or 4 dates and some comes from 50 or 60 dates/times then
the first ones get squished up at the beginning of the
chart and do not show spread across. Is there a trick to
expand the lesser amounts of dates across the spectrum of
the larger assembly of dates?

I have 10 worksheets per workbook. Each worksheet has the
same parameters of which I would like to trend. However
due to the dates in each worksheet differing (and non
consecutive), the chart accepts the dates of the first
worksheet as the x-axis and plots all subsequent
worksheets in sequential order.
For example

Worksheet 1 Worksheet 2

date, parameter
Jan 1 44 Jan 29 22
Jan 4 55 Feb 35 88

The chart would use Jan1 and Jan 4 on the x axis and plot
worksheet 2 values in the first (Jan 1) and the second
(Jan 4) values on the x axis.

If you have a Line chart, or if it's an XY Scatter chart but Excel
doesn't recognize the dates as numerical dates, then each series will
plot as if its X values were the consecutive whole numbers 1, 2, 3, etc.
In the absence of alignment formatting, are the cells left aligned
(text) or right aligned (numbers)?
