Multiple windws opening in IE - 6

I have internet explorer 6, and windows 200o pro at work. I am having a problem wiht using internet explorer, when ever i click on the icon it open internet explorer, but I have a blank in location so no web site is showing, but whenever i typed any address any address, it just start opening multiple windows and keep opening until my memory has been used up. I can't even use the IE even for 5 seconds. I am using netscape for now and it is working fine. Could some one fix this problem and HELP me because I really need to use IE for work purpose.

First eliminate any scumware.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each need to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded. There's also a lot more to do than just those two programs.

If trying everything at that site does not fix the problem please post back
in the same thread.
