multiple windows open

anyone know why i cannot have different windows open at
the same time? eg,i open yahoo mail & then open my bank
site & yahoo is replaced by the bank.the bank is replaced
by the next site i open & so on.
grateful for any help!!

That's the way Internet Explorer is set up.

No it's not. I have 16 IE windows open, only the first did I fire up myself.
If that's the way it's working for you, then there is something wrong with
your system too. There's a fix for this on Kelly's site, I believe, but I
can't find the link - I'm sure she'll be along shortly to post it.
 
thanks for the info folks--i also couldn't find anything
on Kelly's site so hopefully she'll point me in the right
direction later.

Internet Options> Advanced. Uncheck the box to "Reuse browser
windows..." Start a separate instance of IE for the banking site or type
its address into the Start> Run box.

thanks for that Sharon.it worked ok in that instance but
i am still unable to achieve a result as described by
Perdita (above),which is what i am aiming for.
