Until very recently when viewing a webpage and then wanting to load a second,
the second replaces the first, leaving me with one one browser session. I
want to get back to multiply browser windows but for the life of me cant find
the setting to achieve this, please help.

Hi Barrie,
On the IE toolbar click on Tools >> Internet Options >> Click on Advanced
Tab and scroll down under the Browsing Option and uncheck this box;
[ ] Reuse windows for launching shortcuts. uncheck box
Click Ok and Close the IE Properties window and Hit F5 to refresh and will
get Multiple Windows next time you clcik on a link on a page or open new page.
HTH.
Please let us know.
Regards,
nass

I was frustrated with the same problem quite a while ago and simply began
pressing the shift key while clicking. This opens up a a new window for the
link you chose. The other thing you can do is press "Ctrl +N" and open up a
new window with the same content as the one you are using. You can then
click on your link.

Thanks for the information, I have treied exactly what you suggested but I
still get the target window replacing the existing and the back button is
greyed so I cant use that to go back either. Any other suggestions. Ps I
have not rebooted yet, if it does subsequently work I will let you know.
Again Thanks.

Go to Tools | Internet Options | Advanced.
Uncheck "Reuse windows for launching shortcuts".

Also, if you have Yahoo Companion, Google toolbar, MSN toolbar, a firewall,
Earthlink (or another pop-up blocker) My IE2 (a shell for IE) etc.
Yahoo Companion is a very common cause.

You'll have to turn off the feature that's blocking new windows or, perhaps,
uninstall the program (especially uninstall Yahoo Companion).

With some programs of this type, using Ctrl+click or Shift+click will allow
a new window.

If you're *sure* that another program isn't causing this, these links may
help.
