I have searched through the Internet for information on how to
backup/copy the Windows 2000 VPN-connections. By doing a little research
myself I found out that the data are stored in ntuser.dat in binary
format, which I can't use for anything.
What I would like to know is how I may back up my 80+ VPN connections
for restoring them at a later time after a re-install or simply a crash.
If someone knows how to create VPN-connections with a script, that will
also be helpful.
For the curious I am working at a company making booking-systems and
optionally acting as an IT-partner. We have approximately 200 hotels to
support and with almost half of these we connect with a standard
VPN-connection and use remote-control software to maintain our software
installations.
As we are several workstations supporting these hotels, I am trying to
centralize the maintenance of these connections. This simplifies
installations of Windows and the update of connection information.
Whether it is a script, backup/copy-procedure, application (which
handles Windows 2000/XP VPN-connections), or anything that may solve
this scenario is of interest.
Thank you in advance
