Hello,
I was just asked to video tape a wedding this weekend. I told them it
would be no problem, I would do it like I do any church service, with one
camera directly onto hte dvd recorder. then I would edit it when I got home
if it needed. they then informed me they would like to have 2 cameras set
up. I have several video input devices, and could easily send them all into
my computer. The problem I guess that I have is how to record and edit
multiple video souces at once. I would have two video sources coming in,
and one audio souce coming in. Is this possible with Movie Maker? please
let me know.

Thanks

No, not possible with WMM.

Live editing of a wedding is almost impossible unless it is totally scripted
wedding with a fixed timeline.

When I do weddings, I have 2 or 3 DV cameras (q1 or 2 tripod fixed and shore
powered, not on battery) and a hand held during the service (wireless
microphone on the minister which is hooked into the camera fixed on him.
This gets the sound from him and also from the wedding party, music etc.
Once I get the two or three tapes back home, I move the files to the hard
drive via IEEE1394, clip the movies and rip the sound. Putting the final
movie together is fairly simple once you have all the pieces.

The reception is done similar. I always have one fixed camera on the dance
floor and/or on the wedding table and the handheld. It's a lot of fun to
clip the final movie together. Sometimes I can even do an outtake reel
after the final credits. I have even done the bachelor & bachlorette party
and the rehearsal dinner. When I do the bachelor & bachelorette party, I
am very cautious about who gets to see these tapes when things get out of
hand.

BTW, I always give a DVD or series of DVDs to the bride and groom that have
the raw footage as DV-AVI files on it in addition to the final product.
