Under XP, if I have multiple users logged on at the same time, a scheduled
scan takes place for all of them. Presumably, they are scanning the same
files, or a subset of those from an administrator account. I also assume
that they would try to update the software too. If I try to update from a
standard user account, it at least says it's updating the definitions, but
unless it's putting them in a different place for each user, it's not doing
what it says.
If I try to change the preferences for the other users so that it does not
try to update or run scheduled scans, it says that it accepts the changes,
but if I leave and get back in, they are lost.
What can I do to prevent the other users from running a scheduled scan,
short of logging them off?
