we are using Windows 2000 Pro, outlook 2000 and exchange
2000. I have a computer setup that i would like all
users (80 people) to be able to use if they forget their
laptops at home. The problems is that I have to
configure Outlook for each of the users. Is there any
way to have outlook open the persons mailbox who logged
into the computer/network (without having to setup 80
profiles)????

You could use roaming profiles in Windows (and use a profile generation tool
for Outlook profiles to make this a little easier - several are listed at
www.slipstick.com), or have them use OWA. My vote is for the latter, if it's
only for Exchange mail access. You can set up a kiosk computer & have
everyone use the same login account with limited rights on the domain....

You can use a prf-file for this. Set it in your logon script so it will
configure Outlook at logon. More information about the prf-file can be found
in the Office Resource Kit.
