Multiple users in Outlook

I have a PC running XP Pro and there are 4 users with separate profiles who log onto the machine. We have one email address supplied by the ISP, and the users can all send and receive mail using this email address, but with their own "identity" in the "From" box

The problem is that when any user decides to download mail, all of the other users mail is downloaded into that users mailbox, and the next user to try a download will see nothing if there is no new mail to download

Is there a way to set up Outlook to automatically download mail into one central mailbox, and interpret (and forward) mail based on the "identity" created for each user

Thanks in advanc

Hmmm....is there some reason you can't just get separate e-mail addresses?
If you set the mail profiles such that they don't remove messages from the
server, the mailbox will eventually fill up and reject mail.

It's just too darned expensive, the ISP wants to charge an additional $12.00 per month per additional email address, and we're locked in to an 18 month contract before we can sign up with someone a little more user-friendly

Gad! For about $15, you can get a full Exchange account for everyone.

Not if you set the account to leave mail on server and delete when removed
from deleted items folder or in this case even better leave on server for a
certain number of days.

This option makes it possible to look into a mailbox from different places,
locations, computers, programs, etc. without the mailbox getting full.

Exchange is Microsoft's email/collaboration server -- see http://www.slipstick.com/exs/index.htm.

True, but this gets very unwieldy very quickly - with four users, I predict
that there will be some data lost somewhere.
