Linda Milkes
Hi,
I have searched the Microsoft website and all the
microsoft newsgroups, and couldn't find anyone that had
this same problem. Here goes: I'm a tech. We just
started imaging PCs to Windows XP. Our backbone is
Novell. All users are mapped to their own H drive, where
they save their documents. When we install a new PC, we
redirect the My Documents folder to the H: drive. I've
noticed that when I log in to my XP PC, I have My
Documents, the H: drive, and a folder called Linda
Milkes's Documents. My user account is an
Administrator. I can't actually hide this folder in
Explorer. I click Hide, Apply, OK, but when I go back
into Explorer, it still appears.
My goal is to not see the folder that says Linda Milkes's
Documents. The real problem is on other people's PCs,
since I have logged in on their machine. They each have
a Linda Milkes's Documents folder. Someone asked me why
they had my documents. [Of course, they can't access my
actual documents, they just see the folder.]
We have a few PCs that people come and use from other
locations, so the list of so-and-so's documents is going
to get huge.
Your expertise is appreciated!
Thanks,
Linda
