I have a presentation I am making from multiple exisiting
presentations. The existing presentations were set
up "properly" using the master slide to dictate what the
slide looks like. However, because the slides are from
different companies, I would like to keep the specific
formatting for each slide (incl the background, fonts
colors etc.)
Does anyone know an easy way to do this?

(The backgrounds are pictue files. I don't know where the
originals are, so I would prefer not setting the
background of each individual slide. I would like to find
a way to sut and paste the slides in, keeping the original
format.)

Any suggestions?

[CRITICAL UPDATE - Anyone using Office 2003 should install the critical
update as soon as possible. From PowerPoint, choose "Help -> Check for
Updates".]

Hello Katrina,

This is exactly what the Multiple Masters feature in PowerPoint 2002 and
PowerPoint 2003 is intended for. If you are using either of these versions
of PowerPoint and you don't appear to have this capability, it might have
been inadvertently disabled. To re-enable the Multiple Masters feature:

1) Tools -> Options
2) In the "Edit" tab uncheck the option to disable "Multiple masters"
3) Click "OK"
