multiple table forms

You first need to create a query that joins the two tables
togther and selects all the fields you want updated. Then
base your form on the query rather than on the table(s).
 
when i create this query it says "too many fields defined"
and won't let me run it or open it in datasheet
view....please, more suggestions!!!

Could you describe these tables? A Query with more than 255 fields is
VERY suspicious: I've needed as many as 60 fields in a table, once or
twice.
