Hi,
The company I work for has many legacy applications that use a wide
variety of of the Java Runtime Environment. These range from 1.3.1 to
1.5.0. Currently we have been able to successfully get 1.3.1, 1.4.2
and 1.5.0_05 all work fine with each other. We have been using the
"Last Installed" version gets the default running rule. Which seems
to work.
The problem comes in when we try and install one of the later versions
of 1.5. The one that we are trying to use is 1.5.0_12 or _14. This
seems to make everything that IE6 tries to execute in this version.
We have the Use Java unchecked in the Advance Options tag but it
appears to ignore it. Are there any options for getting the later
versions to work with the older versions? I'm hesitant to instill 1.6
in expectation that it will behave similar in the installation that
the later versions of 1.5 do.
