I have the following data: what is the formula in a report to subtotal by
lease and payor as follows? Also can you point me to some good literature on
force a new page and starting the page count over again. Thanks.

Lease Payor Sale date Amounts
1111 001 01/01/07 10.13
1111 001 01/02/07 15.23
1111 002 01/03/07 20.45
Total 001: 25.36
Total 002: 20.45
Grand Total: 45.81
New Page

2222 001 01/01/07 10.50
2222 001 01/02/07 9.50
2222 002 01/03/07 20.00
Total 001: 20.00

Not quite like that, but the standard Sorting and Grouping
(View menu) approach is to use the expression =Sum(Amount)
in the total text box in the Payor group footer section.
Use the same expression in the grand total text box in the
Lease group footer section.

I didn't even notice the other questions until I saw Chris'
response.

Each section has the Force New Page property to make that an
easy thing to do. Normally, you would set the property to
Before Section for the group header you want to begin on a
new page.

There are other, more complex ways to do it, but I don't
know a reference that explains all of the various
approaches.
