Multiple Sound card support

Is it possible to install multiple soundcards in an XP
machine in order to assign a different source to each
sound card?
(ex. SC1-MP3 Playback, SC2-DVD Playback, SC3-CD Playback,
SC4-Input Playback.)

I am actually in a similar situation for the following reason:
The multi room audio equipment I plan to buy provides input for 4
different sources of audio: CD, radio, PC, etc... I was thinking to
take advantage of the large variety of internet radio that exist out
there, but without having to use one PC per radio.
So, I'm thinking about a multi RCA output sound card, or 2 sound cards.
Any recomendations?
Also, the second question is how to direct the sound from the 2 browser
windows, to one or the other sound card, or RCA output.
