I have recently upgraded to Powerpoint 2002.
Before I used to select multiple pics and then give them
an animation effect. They would then appear one after the
other with that effect.
NOW if I do that they all appear at once. Handy, but not
what I want!
I'm sure it's easy! Any clues?

If you apply an effect to a bunch of objects at the same time, those
should all still be selected in the custom animation task pane. With
those selected, simply change the "start" option at the top of the pane
to "after previous" instead of "with previous."

If they're not selected, you can use your Shift button to select more
than one animation effect in the pane (just as you'd use it to select
more than one slide in slide sorter view or more than one object on a
PPT slide).

The animation setting needs to say "Animate after previous", not "Animate
with previous". Select them, open the Custom Animation Task Pane and change
the setting. You can also set the time delay between each by clicking the
dropdown arrow on each animated line and clicking "Modify".
