I downloaded and applied all the "critical updates" from
the windows update site. Since then, my computer refuses to
startup. Get a blue screen that flashes by before I could
read what is on it, shuts down and tries to start up again.
Does this multiple times without ever going to the desktop.
I do not have the repair CD / OS CD for this computer and
Dell will not ship me one since this computer was sold with
XP on it. Any tips ? Dell tech support says I have to buy
new win2K software or upgrade to XP and lose all my data/
applications.
It was running perfectly well before the updates and now I
am being forced to consider buying new microsoft software.
