Multiple RAM failure

I have 50 new machines, 45 of them are fine but 6 of them have had RAM
failure, There are 2 things that I can see could affect them:
- They are all in the same location under a window. (although it is dry,
environmental monitor in BIOS indicate OK temperatures etc, and the windows
are always closed)
- They are all on a new mains spur.

The machines were setup from a random pile of boxes so there is no
sequential logic to the failures and the building of the machines.
Is there any thing I can test, any other ideas?

Assuming the PCs where moved from one location to another and then powered
up, with power off and the AC cord removed open the case and check the
memory sticks to verify they are fully inserted and locked, while your at it
check for any other loose cards, cables, Etc.

Also try running Memtest86+, this runs from a boot disk and should eliminate
or confirm if your ram is bad.
Let it run for as long as you can, 2,4,6,8 or more hours, if you still get
errors using this test then your ram is defective and you need to contact
the vendor any request replacements.
See: http://www.memtest.org/

I have already confirmed the RAM is defective (using memtest), the question
is why are these 6 computers under the window on this new power spur going
wrong with RAM failure while none of the other identical 45 are not?

By 'Power Spur' I take it you mean AC service line with it's own wiring and
circuit breaker.
If that is the case then check the AC electrical system to verify that the
Hot, Neutral and Ground are OK.
Also who or what else is on this same service line along with the PCs as
other equipment can sometimes play havoc
by generating noise and voltage spikes.
